Kuroraku Badarai Chawan Enraku
Kuroraku Badarai Chawan Enraku
Chawan Mishima Sakura Kōdai is a kyoyaki matcha bowl, a work of art by Yohei Nakamura. The bowl is decorated on the inside with the iconic "Mishima technique", in which floral motifs are inlaid using a ceramic stamp. This inlay technique was probably introduced to Japan by Korean potters in the 16th century. The kōdai, the base of the bowl, is designed in the shape of a cherry blossom.
Made in Kyoto, Japan.
3 reasons to switch to Matcha:
-
1. Long-lasting energy for the whole day
One serving of matcha contains 30 mg of slow-release caffeine, providing balanced energy throughout the day without the typical afternoon slump.
-
2. Improved concentration
One serving of matcha provides 14 mg of the amino acid L-theanine, which activates alpha brainwaves in the brain. This promotes concentration and focus, allowing you to stay productive throughout the day.
-
3. Strengthening the immune system
One serving of matcha contains 350 mg of catechin antioxidants – that’s 10 times more than in regular green tea. These support and promote a healthy immune system.
What is Matcha?
Matcha is a special green tea from Japan that is made from the leaves of the tea plant Camellia sinensis. Before harvesting, the leaves are shaded, which causes them to produce more chlorophyll and amino acids, which gives the tea its bright green color and intense flavor. After harvesting, the leaves are steamed, dried and ground into powder. This powder is poured over with hot water and traditionally whipped with a bamboo whisk. Matcha has a long tradition in the Japanese tea ceremony and is now also used in cooking and in drinks around the world.
